T.E.A.M. Approach


The WCEC's Women's Business Center offers workshops, classes and seminars, both in-person and via webinar, on a variety of topics to help you to start and grow a small business. We provide more than 150 classes for over 5,000 participants each year.

The WCEC's Women's Business Center has a network of business counselors – both current and former small business owners – who can provide one-on-one counseling on topics such as starting a business, preparing a business plan, preparing a marketing plan, etc. It is recommended that clients take at least one training class before pursuing one-on-one counseling.

Access to Lending

The WCEC's Women's Business Center has relationships with and access to a wide network of lending partners, micro lenders and other non-traditional lenders to help provide the capital you need to start your business.

We are a trustee of Kiva Zip, which provides interest-free micro loans of up to $10,000 to qualified borrowers. Click here for more information

In addition, we are currently holding a Business Plan Competition, which will culminate in a “Shark Tank” style business plan pitch. Finalists will receive cash awards as well as an endorsement to our lending partner for a loan.* Click here for additional information about the Business Plan Competition.

Mentorship and Coaching
